SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Storm are 5-1 after routing the Capital Area Gladiators 30-0 in Maritime Women's Football League action at Millidgeville Field Saturday. Full back Kendra Jones lead the offence with two touchdowns, tailback Sherri Rowe had one while Lori Boyles received a 20-yard TD pass from quarterback Lisa Harlow. Terri Shannon had three converts. The Storm are in great shape heading into the playoffs, having outscored their opponents 202-28 in regular season action. They'll face the Capital Area Gladiators (2-4) on Sunday for the semi-finals. The league championship is slated for July 25. It is to be held in Saint John. Halifax Xplosion and the Moncton Vipers square off in the other league semi-final next weekend. |
